Steve McCurry’s One-Minute Masterclass #1: Don’t Forget To Say Hello

26 Dec

For the past two months now, Phaidon Press has been posting on their website these videos with famous photographer Steve McCurry giving advice on how to take a great picture (if you don’t know who McCurry is, he’s best known for his portrait “Afghan Girl”, the infamous National Geographic cover photograph on the June 1985 issue). I thought it would be a great idea to share these videos with all you aspiring photographers. In the first lesson, McCurry explains how to approach strangers when shooting in public or in a foreign country. If you like to see more images from Steve McCurry, you can click on the link to his blog at the bottom of the home page (under Blogroll).
